In the first part of our program we will visit Pushkin - a magic combination of green parks, colorful gardens & majestic palaces. Our professional guide will show you a jewel of Russian Baroque style – the Great Catherine Palace. During the palace excursion ("Fast line" entrance to the palace) you will get to know about the mysterious history of the Amber Room and see its splendid interiors, designed by eminent architects and recently restored. The collection of the palace includes a large number of precious works of art, such as furniture, porcelain, statues, canvases, etc., including personal belongings of Russian emperors and members of their families.
Then you will have a pleasant walk along one of the first landscape parks of Russia full of beautiful sculpture, ponds, bridges, artificial canals and unique pavilions, such as Cold bath with the Agate rooms, the Hanging garden, the Cameron gallery, the Hermitage and Grotto, a Concert hall, the Admiralty, upper and lower baths, Granite terrace, and other interesting places.
In the second part of our tour you will go to Pavlovsk located in just a 10 minutes from Pushkin. Pavlovsk is famous for its wonderful palace and park ensemble, which construction began during the reign of the Emperor Paul I and was finished after his death. It is the last summer royal residence, which was constructed by Romanov dynasty around Saint-Petersburg. During this excursion you can admire the picturesque spaces of the unquestioned masterpiece of the landscape art - Pavlovsk Park & visit amazing example of Russian classicism style - Pavlovsk Palace.
In the halls of the palace there is the richest collection of porcelain, faience, ceramics and glass, which has the unique pieces of the most famous manufactories of Europe and Russia. Also the palace is famous for its collection of art fabrics, which is admitted as one of the most significant.
