During our excursion you will visit the famous & ancient fortress in Koporye village. The fortress of Koporye is a monument of Russian medieval defensive architecture & it located in the South-West of Leningrad region, on the edge of the Izhora hills, in the village of Koporye. The fortress was reconstructed several times and several times it was passed into the hands of the Swedes, and returned to Russia. You will also see the remains of Novgorod fortress Yam in the town of Kingisepp, admire Catherine's Church and the picturesque landscapes of the Luga river.
In the second part of our tour you will visit the Ivangorod fortress - the first regular fortress in Russia and have an excursion to the Museum of fortresses located in the North-West region. Ivangorod Fortress is a truly impressive construction. Being located about 150 km from Saint-Petersburg, Ivangorod Fortress is unique as it was built opposite to Narva Fortress, situated on another bank of the Narva River.
